  • The Department of Physics Astronomical Observatory at the University of Alberta offers public solar observing sessions every Thursday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Visitors can drop in anytime during this hour without tickets, and admission is free.
  • Drop in Walk in the Darkness at Miquelon Lake | Free
  • Up for exploring in the dark? Join us for a stroll through Miquelon at night! We’ll learn what makes Beaver Hills Dark Sky Preserve so special as we look in the skies for bats and stars, and listen in the trees for hooting owls. We’ll even get to visit the Hesje Observatory to view the night sky on this two-hour guided walk in the darkness.
