MASSIVE MACHINE BROUGHT IN TO HELP BUILD VALLEY LINE WEST LRT

If you've been in the vicinity of WEM lately chances are you saw a huge machine on top of the LRT pillars. The machine is a gantry crane that was custom built for a project in Dubai and then shipped to Edmonton to help build more than 2 kilometres of elevated track for the Valley Line West LRT. The machine moves itself but is at a standstill until March when it will resume its specialty work with the remaining 30 spans until completed late 2024.
