WHITEMUD BRICK THROWER STRIKES AGAIN

In the last 2 months there have been 9 incidents of bricks being thrown from an overpass unto cars below. All incidents happened at the 53rd Avenue overpass except for 1 at the 99 Street overpass. Thus far no one has been injured but more than 20 years ago a man was killed when an object was thrown onto the Whitemud.

Friday night Edmonton police released a video showing a man throwing two objects off the bridge to the Whitemud below. The male suspect is described as being of average build, approximately 5’8” to 5’9”, typically wears a black hoodie and is believed to live in the area surrounding the 53 Avenue overpass.
