The district planning project has divided Edmonton into 15 districts where locals can meet all or most of their daily needs within a 15-minute walk, bike, or transit trip from their homes.Broad plans outlining changes are up for review at city hall and there will be a three-day public hearing from Tuesday to Thursday. The 15 minutes city concept was developed Carlos Moreno, a professor at Paris's Sorbonne University in 2016. It's an urban planning concept aimed at reducing emissions and travel distances.
