Although the Alberta Gaming Liquor Cannabis (AGLC) recently decided to approve Camrose Casino’s request to relocate to Edmonton a legal wrench has been thrown into the works. On Thursday an Alberta court ordered the company that owns Camrose Casino into receivership. Howard Pechet, president of Mayfield Investments Ltd., the casino’s owner is befuddled by the move and hopes the decision can be reversed. Accounting firm Ernst and Young has been appointed as the receiver.
