For 25 years Mixteca served the immigrant community in rented space but all that is about to change. On Monday Mixteca announced it will purchase a four-story building that will triple its space and enable it to expand its services. Mixteca's purchasing a building means they will not have to spend so on renting and and that a building is their way of saying we're here to stay and serve our community.

After a 2 year hiatus FIRST SATURDAYS are back at the Brooklyn Museum beginning this Saturday. The FIRST SATURDAYS are jam packed so attendees have to pre-register in an effort to manage the number of people inside the museum at any one time so plan ahead and pre-register.
