In 1951 the year before she became Queen, Princess Elizabeth toured Canada. The 1951 Lincoln Cosmopolitan she rode in while on the Edmonton portion of her tour is now being restored by about 90 students from different classes and years in the NAIT autobody program. The NAIT autobody program usually works on newer vehicles to give students experience working on the kind of vehicles currently on the road. The 1951 Lincoln Cosmopolitan donated to the program by Ron Lyons is a special showcase project and when restoration is complete will create buzz for the students and NAIT's auto body program. If you appreciate old cars you'll be able to see the restored 1951 Lincoln Cosmopolitan at NAIT's car show, local shows and at what will be its permanent home at the Legends Golf & Country Club golf car museum.
