I can't say it any plainer.....The Art Gallery of Alberta needs more members & visitors.
I love art, both as a viewer and creator of art. We have children who live in NYC and London, UK. so whenever we go to either city gallery hoping is high up on the priority list. We've been members of AGA for a number of years and visit other galleries/shows periodically throughout the year. Edmonton has a rich creative culture (art/music, theatre, dance, ballet, etc) and we encourage everyone to support the arts. You'll be enriched personally, and the community will benefit greatly!
The Journal has just published a report on how City Councillors have voted between October 2021 and October 2024. Unfortunately, details as to what was voted on are missing. Infill and densification, bike lanes, property taxes, never-ending road construction, municipal spending, homelessness and crime, are a few of the things that were voted on and approved by the last council.
Below is a list of all Edmonton ridings and the candidates that are vying for those Member of Parliament seats in the April 28th election.
The Edmonton Public School's support workers strike is now in its 9th week with no end in sight. Negotiations have continued but with neither CUPE 3550 or Edmonton Public School being willing and/or able to move things are at a stalemate.
Three professors from Athabasca University have recently stated their opinions in the Edmonton Journal, and they probably express the opinion of countless others.
