Sports Edmonton is following up what they did with basketball nets and hoops by replacing hockey nets for community league rinks that need them. Edmonton has over 120 outdoor rinks in the city and 40 hockey nets have been replaced so far, with another 60 in the queue. Other rinks that need their nets replaced should contact Sports Edmonton or Maria Flores-Achtymichuk with the EFCL.

Reed Clarke, Sport Edmonton CEO says community rinks are where kids really learn to play hockey,

Sports Edmonton is a joint effort of Hockey Edmonton, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, the Edmonton Oil Kings and the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues (EFCL).
