Edify

There are many ways to define what makes a great neighbourhood and the EDIFY article below lists just some of them. One of focaLOCAL's aims is to help create great neighbourhoods.

I'm sad to have to admit that even though I've long loved poetry, I didn't know that Edmonton has a Poetry Festival for 20 years. Rather than being a weeklong festival, this year's anniversary festival will be a month-long celebration with over 40 events on the calendar. On April 11 the festival will have a grand 20th birthday celebration of poetry and cake at the renovated solarium at Ortona Armoury.

Although January is the coldest month of the year that doesn't mean the city hibernates, far from it. Although It may not be that noticeable the days are getting longer so there's more daylight hours to join in the "something for everyone" EDIFY list below.
