The Victoria Promenade that runs along 100 Avenue, between 117 Street NW and 121 Street NW has one of the most picturesque views of the river valley. THe city has presented five bike lane options as part of the Wîhkwêntôwin neighbourhood renewal program and is asking residents to share feedback until December 13th.

The Oliver neighbourhood has been recognized as one of the most liveable in Canada. Neigbourhoods were ranked according to their affordability, walkability, diversity, access to green spaces and parks, as well as proximity to work, medical services, childcare, and schools. Edmonton has 375 neighbourhoods and a good number of them meet all the criteria for ranking and bring the lyric "lookout cause here I/we come" from THIS IS ME.

The Oliver community decided to to shed ties to the legacy of Frank Oliver, began the process of changing the name in 2020. The Oliver community received approval of a new name from the city and has chosen the Cree name wîhkwêntôwin (we-kwen-to-win) Tuesday, which means circle of friends.
