Mill Woods Town Centre has gone through many changes since it was first envisioned as an urban centre in the 1970s. The arrival of the Valley Line LRT and Maclab Development Group purchasing the site in 2022 may herald the biggest changes yet. The Maclab Development Group has great plans for the Mill Woods Town Centre property and the next few years will see those plans coming to fruition next year with the opening of a new grocery store in the vacated Coop store and the construction of two 22-storey residential towers beginning as early as January.

Maclab Development Group purchased Mill Woods Town Centre and has proposed the building of two 22 story towers near the Mill Woods LRT Station and the Mill Woods Transit Centre. The City is asking the public for input on the city’s website until Feb. 25.
