If you travel on Stony Plain Road regularly or frequently the section between 131st Street and 139th Street will be closed until August so its time to consider an alternate route. Some of the closure is due to the new LRT line, repaving, new sidewalks & street lights.

Due to Valley Line West LRT construction the Sony Plain Road Bridge at 129 St. is going to be demolished and replaced causing road closures on Groat and Stony Plain Roads. There will be two short tern closures of Groat Road and one long term closure of Stony Plain Road. The first closure won't be until late December so hopefully people will have more than enough time to plan alternate routes.
