OUR EXTENDED FAMILIA

If you sound out FAMILIA as its spelled it should sound like the way "family" is pronounced in Ukrainian. It's one of the few Ukrainian words I remember most clearly from my past, especially from my mother's side of the family, and FAMILIA was the word they used to describe what was most important to them.

When Father brought Eileen came into my life, I was introduced to her family and I realized how important family was to them. Over the years Eileen's parents and my parents often got together for special occasions and what was most special in that was the sense of our an enlarged FAMILIA.

Now that both our families have grown with children and grandchildren I've created this group for OUR EXTENDED FAMILIA.

Hopefully it will be used to keep us in the loop with what's happening in our families.
