PRESIDENT CARTER'S LEGACY REMEMBERED IN EDMONTON
in 2017 the late President Carter and his wife Rosalynn visited Edmonton as part of a cross Canada Habitat For Humanity building project of 150 homes to mark Canada’s 150th anniversary. In the Edmonton HFH office, a hammer hanging on the wall was signed by President and Mrs. Carter as a dedication. Ann-Marie Reddy, president and CEO of HFH Edmonton says its not just an ordinary tool, it’s our hammer of hope.
With the help of around 14,000 volunteers and homeowners, the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project built “Carter Place” which has 58 townhomes.
