CITY OF EDMONTON TO TEST WINDROW-PICKUP PROGRAM IN GRIESBACH

There are many neighbourhhoods that have windrows like those in Griesbach but will have to contend with them until the spring thaw reduces them to run off. Picking up windrows on all city streets would increase the snow removal budget drastically. Hopefully the Griesbach pilot project will provide an accurate estimate for city planners to ascertain if it may be feasible next winter to pick up windrows in the neighbourhoods where windrows make parking and passing a huge problem.
